Abstract Describes the cooperative effort which resulted in the building of a full-scale reproduction of the Wright brothers 1903 aeroplane. The model was installed on permanent exhibition in the W. F. Durand Aeronautical Museum of the Institute of the Aeronautical Sciences (now American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics) in Los Angeles in July 1952 and was officially dedicated by Lt. Gen. James H. Doolittle, USAF (Ret.), on July 15, 1953.
