The Lama was a high-altitude version of the Alouette II that was produced in France and Brazil. It was also manufactured under license in India by Hindustan, which called it the Cheetah. It was used it in the Himalayan Mountains, where it reached a record altitude of 40,820 feet (12,442 meters).
