Throughout the activities, children's words and responses should be recorded. Several suggestions were included in the activity descriptions. However, all throughout the learning process, opportunities will present themselves for recording and relating the childrens' learning and these opportunities should be taken advantage of at the moment.

A variety of techniques can be used, from a tape recorder, drawing/illustrations, dictation to the adult who then records the words, videotape, and photography. Using a digital camera can provide "instant" feedback and reinforcement as a writing response. Digital images can be used to construct a class book, power point demonstration, movie, and/or website.
