A magazine of the time described the Model B as finished like 'a fine piano'. Every exposed wooden component is finished with aluminum powder, giving the airplane a polished appearance, and making it very difficult to determine by casual observation what the machine is made of. The metal fittings are all nickel-plated, and the seats upholstered with bright red corduroy.
