In the case of the airfoil, both full-scale and models were tested, which resulted in accurate measurements of the lift and drag coefficients to the to angle of attack, which were used to calculate optimum speed of air over the wing. The effect of the fabric 'balooning' was observed on both the full-size and the model airfoils. |
