The airframe follows the design used for the Model B aircraft made in the Wright factory. This design can be traced back to the Wrights' original flying machines of 1899-1903, modified to carry two passengers sitting upright, wheeled landing gear, and no canard (forward elevator). It is built of both ash and spruce, with nickel-plated metal fittings.
