| The "cockpit" of the Wright Model "B" is an adaptation of the Wrights' original pilot position, lying down on the lower wing. To accomodate two pilots, seats were installed. The controls were designed for flight instruction. Since the center lever was "shared" by both seats, one either became a right-handed or left-handed Wright pilot. The seats were upholstered with corduroy in an attempt to provide saftey through slightly greater friction between the pilot and the plane. |
