The center lever controls the wing warping mechanism. A bell crank at the bottom of the lever is attached to cables which run through pulleys to the trailing edges of the top wingtips. As a cable on one side pulls an upper wingtip down, a cable on the lower wing pulls the opposite wingtip up. The resulting twist in the wings banks the aircraft to the right or left.
